WE DRESS FOR OUR OWN PLEASURE.
We are more than what we wear. Language, religion, art, clothing – none of these things, no matter how great or how small, can really define us. However, fashion gives us an opportunity to express our creativity.
Real style isn’t defined by a trend, runway collections, absurdly priced or mass produced goods. Style comes from within, and can be expressed without. Our lives should be enhanced by our adornments, not controlled by them.
Since there are already so many objects and products existing, it is my goal to choose used, vintage products or otherwise sustainably-minded goods on my blog. I also love supporting creativity and love, handmade by artisans. We need to become a society of producers, instead of blind consumers.
Existential Ella is a place where fashion and feminism aren’t contradictory. Understand media messages about women, and men. Understand why we see such a black and white difference between genders, why women are seen through “the male gaze” in fashion and everywhere else. Choose your clothing with awareness, pure joy and creative abandon!

Pssst…these are all me!
